CHARACTERS

Kanat
Kanat is a kind-hearted young shepherd who lost his parents when he was a little kid. Although every Hun grows up to become a warrior, he has never been as skilled on the battlefield. His lack of confidence prevents him from seeing its benefits, but his talents lie elsewhere. He makes the most delicious kumiss in the middle world. What he is actually capable of is more than what meets the eye.

Tayga
Witty and talkative, Tayga is a kumiss sack, brought to life by a mistake of the Hunnic gods. He can be faint-hearted at times but always ready to stir up a bit of mischief. He shares an extra special bond with his first-ever friend, Kanat, who is among the few who are actually there for his friendship and not for his kut (life force, spirit). He might be asking too many questions for a kumiss sack, but as Tayga tries to figure out who he is and where he belongs, he doesn’t yet realize that this journey will pull him into a mystery far greater than himself.

Gokchen
Passionate and fiery, Gokchen is an adventurous warrior. A rebellious spirit. Her griffin Temujin- a combination of a falcon and a lion- is her closest friend and loyal companion. She feels most at home on the battlefield, sharpening her extraordinary skills as an archer. Gokchen also has a caring spirit and a softness in her heart, especially when it comes to those she cares about.

Temuchin
Shiny as gold with his lion fur and falcon feathers, Temujin is Gokchen's eyes in the air and her most trusted confidant. Takes some wheedling and cajoling at times, but Gokchen can tempt him into one adventure after another. He can be high-pitched and stubborn at times but is ultimately a faithful companion to Gokchen.

Arat
Arat is a highly respected blacksmith in the village, skilled in what the Huns consider a sacred craft. Above all else in his life, he values his love for Aybike, his wife. Despite the difficulties they face, they remain determined to have a child.

Aybike
Aybike is renowned as one of the greatest warriors in the Hunnic Empire, with exceptional horsemanship skills. According to village lore, she learned to ride a sheep even before she could take her first steps. She is fiercely dedicated to her relationship with Arat and will stop at nothing to ensure they have a child together.
